Evolutions 2012, which will be held on 1 March 2012 at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel, in Kingston Jamaica, is a one-day intellectual forum where the latest trends on the future of communications and collaboration are discussed. The event is expected to draw over 350 attendees. More importantly, Evolutions can be experienced remotely, via web.aliveTM (Avaya’s own online collaboration tool), and live streaming. But who or what is Avaya?

Founded in 2000, Avaya is a US company of distinguished pedigree. It is a spin off of Lucent Technologies, which in turn was a spin off of AT&T Technologies. Throughout the years it has become a global brand, having expanded its operations from the Americas into Europe and Asia. However, the company received widespread recognition when it purchased Nortel Enterprise in 2009, which further strengthen its position internationally.

What can be expected from Evolutions 2012?

The theme for Evolution 2012 is “Live the Avaya Experience”. Hence the programme features a rich mix of talks by industry experts, ranging from those that show how Avaya solutions can tackle crucial problems that organisations today face, to discussing how newer technologies are having an impact on the status quo. The event also features an expo, where products and services from Avaya, select business partners and sponsors will be showcased.
