Invitation for contributors!

ICT Pulse is inviting contributors. This framework and process that will be followed is outlined below.

ICTs are critical drivers of economic and social development in the world today, and are shaping the future to be knowledge and information focussed. Hence ICT Pulse’s overarching objectives are to highlightinform and stimulate discussion on salient ICT issues of which individuals, organisations and businesses in the Caribbean ought to be aware, and ultimately contribute to improved decision-making.

Without a doubt, ICT is a huge subject, and there are a numerous issues that can be discussed and ought to be addressed. In keeping with the saying, “many hands make light work”, we inviting persons to contribute content to ICT Pulse.

Desired qualifications:

Prospective contributors are likely to have the following qualities:

  • understand the ICT Pulse voice, style, approach, and brand
  • possess expertise and experience in one or more ICT-related areas
  • are passionate about the development of the Caribbean, and the role ICT can play in the process
  • have a talent or interest in writing
  • are reliable and punctual with deadlines
  • perferrably, have had some experience in writing for online or print publications.

Application process:

Send us an e-mail to info (at) ict-pulse (dot) com, with the subject, “Prospective Contributor”, outlining:

  • your qualifications, experience and areas of expertise
  • what you believe you could contribute to ICT Pulse
  • why you believe you might be a good fit for ICT Pulse
  • how frequently you are prepared to submit  articles (or other content).

Following discussions with the Editor on the topic of mutual interest, you will be invited to write a test piece between 750-1,000 words.  The test piece will be reviewed; feedback will be given, and a decision made.

Some things to note:

  • All contributors will receive by-lines and personal author bios.
  • Monetary compensation is not offered at this time, but we hope to be in a position to do so in the future.
  • Previously unpublished work is preferred.
